MoviePosterDB collects only what we need to keep the archive useful and safe. We don’t sell user data and we don’t embed third-party tracking pixels.
What we store. Account email + hashed password, your uploaded posters and their metadata, your downloads, your saved/liked posters, and basic server-side request logs (IP + user-agent) for abuse prevention. Logs are rotated after 30 days.
Cookies. One first-party session cookie keeps you signed in. A second cookie remembers your language and country preference. No third-party cookies.
Email. We send transactional mail (verification, password reset, moderator notifications). No marketing.
Your rights. You can export or delete your data at any time from your account settings. Deleted accounts are scrubbed within 30 days, except for uploaded posters that have been approved into the archive — those stay attributed to a generic “archived contributor” handle.
