Joonas Kokkonen

Joonas Kokkonen. Composer: Sources of Finnish Music. Joonas Kokkonen was born on 13 November 1921 in Iisalmi, Finland. He was a composer, known for Sources of Finnish Music (1978), The Church in the North (1970) and The Empire Style in Helsinki (1972). He was previously married to Else-Maj (Maija) Heljo and Maire Sisko Mäkinen. He died on 2 October 1996 in Järvenpää, Finland.
