David Proud. Director: Verisimilitude. David Proud was born in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, England. He is an actor, writer, and director known for EastEnders (1985), Marcella (2016) and Secret Diary of a Call Girl (2007). In December 2020 David joined the core writing team of Coronation Street (1960). David was named as a BAFTA Breakthrough Artist for 2021. David was born with a condition called Spina Bifida and uses a wheelchair.
