He spent his summers working on his father’s horse ranch in rural Oklahoma, an upbringing that moved between two very different worlds and gave him an instinctive understanding of people across cultures, classes, and circumstances. That perspective continues to shape the grounded, layered characters he brings to the screen.Austin remained immersed in the arts throughout his teenage years, performing as a multi-instrumentalist in clubs across Texas before earning bachelor’s degrees in Theater and Creative Writing from St. Edward’s University in Austin. There, he studied acting, playwriting, directing, screenwriting, and production. After graduation, he completed a Meisner-based acting conservatory led by Richard Robichaux and began steadily booking roles in television and film.He has since built an extensive body of work and earned a reputation for portraying compelling, complex, and deeply human characters.
