Américo Thomaz

Américo Thomaz. Self: TV 7. Born in Lisbon, Portugal, 19 November 1894. He was a Portuguese politician and military. After reaching the position of Admiral, in the Navy, he was the thirteenth President of the Portuguese Republic, the last of the Portuguese 'Estado Novo', and dictator Salazar's trusted man, between 1958-1974. He died at Cascais, Portugal, 18 September 1987.
