Pauls Kesteris

Pauls Kesteris was born in Riga, Latvia. His latest documentary film Crossing (2022) received an award for "Best Documentary Short" at the Lativan National Film Festival. He grew up in a family of theatre actors and after finishing film school in Estonia he worked in advertising, directing commercials in Latvia and abroad, receiving various international awards. While residing in Los Angeles and working for Backyard Productions where he served as an executive producer of an international feature OKI - In the Middle of the Ocean (2014) bringing together the first Latvian-American independent co-production. His short films Diva (2021), Personality Shop (2011) and First Steps (2021) have been screened and awarded in various international film festivals.
