
Mihalis Giannatos(1941-2013)
Michalis Giannatos was a Greek actor with a prolific career in film, television, and theater. He studied acting at the drama school of Dinos Dimopoulos and made his film debut in The Stigma of Corruption (1966). He gained recognition through collaborations with Theodoros Angelopoulos, beginning with Alexander the Great (1980), and appeared in numerous Greek and international productions. His fluency in multiple languages allowed him to take on roles in major films such as Midnight Express (1978), Captain Corelli's Mandolin (2001), and Munich (2005). He also starred in A Touch of Spice (2003) and the European co-production The Last Bey of the Balkans (2005). In addition to his screen work, he remained active in theater throughout his career.
