Mickey O'Keefe(1948-2023)

Mickey O'Keefe was born and raised in Lowell, Massachusetts, the youngest child in a family of Irish Catholic descent. He served on Lowell's police force for over 30 years (retiring as a sergeant), served in the military before that, and was a Golden Gloves champion in his younger days.He mentored "Irish" Micky Ward during his prolific boxing career. O'Keefe played himself in the 2010 film The Fighter (2010), starring Mark Walhberg and Christian Bale.
