Mark Holden is a British born Canadian actor based in London, England, with an extensive career spanning theatre, film, television, and voice performance in both the UK and North America.He began his professional acting career in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, in 1991 under the mentorship of Robin Phillips, then Director General of the Edmonton Citadel Theatre, who cast him as Villac Umu in The Royal Hunt of the Sun. After several productions at the Citadel Theatre and a season with Bard on the Beach in Vancouver, Mark transitioned into film and television, building a career that has taken him from Canada back to his native London.Before becoming a full-time actor, Mark served as a police officer with both the Metropolitan Police Service in London and the Edmonton Police Service in Canada. He also represented Great Britain and Canada in bobsled competition and was an accomplished track and field athlete. In 1982, he won the International Police Olympics Decathlon in Austin, Texas, setting a new championship record.Mark’s diverse professional and sporting background, including experience in policing, executive protection, and elite-level athletics, brings authenticity and depth to many of the characters he portrays. He continues to work across film, television, theatre, and voice acting from his home in London, where he lives with his wife, Patsy, their twin sons. His daughter, Sienna, is an Assistant Director in the film and television industry in Calgary, AB Canada.
