Marek Windheim

Windheim had a thriving career as a character tenor in opera; he sang with the Metropolitan Opera in New York--logging in over 325 performances there from 1928 to 1936. He mainly performed small parts but also some 'character leads' like Smetana's Vasek and Wagner's David and Mime. He took part in four operatic world premieres.
