Malin Barr(I)

Malin Barr is a Swedish director, writer, and actor working between Los Angeles and Stockholm.Her directorial debut, the short film Sauna Sickness, premiered in competition at Sundance Film Festival 2026, where it was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize.Alongside her directing work, she has an established career as an actor. Recent credits include the Netflix series Bad Thoughts and the upcoming feature El Tigre (2026). Her previous work includes the Honeydew, starring opposite Sawyer Spielberg, as well as The Beta Test and A Wounded Fawn. She has also appeared in Scandinavian series including the Netflix series Spotify Untold, as well as Before We Die and Top Dog.Malin is bilingual in Swedish and English, and also speaks French.
