Georg Fleischmann

Georg Fleischmann. Director: W. B. Yeats: A Tribute. George Fleishmann was born in Austria in 1912. He trained at the Berlin Film Academy and photographed documentaries in Germany before World War II including Olympia (1936) as a camera operator. In 1941 he crash landed in Ireland while on a surveillance mission and was interned at the Curragh Camp, Co. Kildare. He remained in Ireland after the war and filmed many documentaries...
