Charlie Maas

Charlie Maas is a director, producer, and writer. After graduating from UCLA, he started his career as a broadcast producer for Leo Burnett and Saatchi and Saatchi, working on projects for GMC, P&G, and Toyota. His agency highlights include producing a Super Bowl commercial and winning two D+AD Awards and a Cannes Lion.In 2013, he left Saatchi to open an in-house ad agency for the RumChata liqueur brand. Over eight years working for RumChata, Charlie wrote, produced, and directed over 100 pieces of video content for display on television, in cinema, and online. Those commercials have been shown around the globe, as Charlie helped the brand expand into 26 international markets.In 2017, Charlie started developing the children's television series Twende with his wife, producer Regan Riskas, and UK-based production company Braintrust. An initial season for Twende was ordered in 2021, and the show will premiere in 2023.
