Beecher Reuning. Director: A Pointless Pencil. Beecher Reuning is a non-binary filmmaker from Tennessee who often uses high-concept comedy to explore gender and deconstruct oppressive religious cultures. Their short films have won dozens of awards and played theatrically in 30 countries, while their feature screenplays regularly place in national competitions. They received their MFA in Cinema-Television Directing from Regent University in 2015.
