Asheq Akhtar

Asheq Akhtar was born in Chittagong, Bangladesh in 1975. He spent many years as a musician before his acting debut in Gillian Wearing's Self Made (2010) where Variety Magazine went on to pick him out as an "...obvious natural talent." He is now an actor and director known for His Dark Materials (2019), Man Like Mobeen (2017), and Screw (2022). He makes and self-releases music under the alias, 'Suborno'.
