Andrew McAlpine. Production Designer: The Piano. After graduating from Nottingham University, Andrew McAlpine received the 1974 Calouste Gulbenkian Designer's Award in Holography for use in theater. He gained fame for his work on the Jane Campion film, "The Piano", for which McAlpine received the Australian Film Institute Award and the BAFTA award.
