Prior to his TV writing career, Kim was an award-winning journalist who worked as a writer and editor for Sports Illustrated, Entertainment Weekly, Details, and People. From 2005 to 2007, he was Senior News Director at ESPN, where he created the entertainment news program, ESPN Hollywood (2005).
