Jaromil Jireš(1935-2001)

Jaromil Jireš was born on 10 December 1935 in Bratislava, Czechoslovakia [now Slovak Republic]. He was a director and writer, known for The Joke (1969), And Give My Love to the Swallows (1972) and Valerie and Her Week of Wonders (1970). He died on 26 October 2001 in Prague, Czech Republic.
