Pat Billingsley

He was a mathematician whose research was mainly devoted to Probability Theory. His book entitled "Probability and Measure" is considered as a classic reference in Probability. In 1958 he became a professor of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Chicago and retired in 1994. More details can be found at the Wikipedia.
