Meagan Hotz. Writer: Mermaid's Song. Meagan Hotz is a Canadian genre screenwriter originally from Canmore, Alberta. A graduate of the Vancouver Film School's Writing for Film & Television program (with honors), she continues to reside in Vancouver. Her short films have been screened internationally and received millions of online views, with accolades including Best Short at the Screamfest Horror Film Festival.
