Often described as "a young Meryl Streep" due to her versatility and tendency to steal all her scenes, French actress Laëtitia Eïdo shocked the world with her heart-wrenching performance as Shirin El-Abed, an embattled doctor caught in the middle of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict on Netflix's highly acclaimed series, "'Fauda (2015)'."Laëtitia has brought many different nationalities to life and delivered award winning performances, including 5 Best Actress Awards, in more than 10 languages.Her penchant for artistic endeavors began as a little girl, when she won several prestigious contests in both drawing and writing, with one of her creations being exhibited in the Eiffel Tower, as part of a worldwide professional design contest when she was just a teenager. Her love of acting came to light early as well, as she spent a good portion of her childhood putting on elaborate skits, readily transforming into all kinds of bold and dynamic characters.Referred to by critics as a "standout actress," "the beating heart of Fauda's series," "sensual," and "fiercely funny," Laëtitia was classically trained in Paris and New York, from Peter Brook's to Jacques Lecoq's theater companies. She then immersed herself in the Meisner technique, which completely transformed her approach to acting.Known for her intense, unforgettable, and emotionally evocative performances, Laëtitia prepares meticulously for each role, leaving no detail untouched. Over the course of her career, she has taken on many main and lead parts, most recently delivering a stellar performance in the Apple TV+ French and English language series "Liaison," starring alongside Vincent Cassel and Eva Green. She reunited with Eva Green in Martin Campbell’s ("Casino Royale," "Goldeneye") feature "Dirty Angels." She also starred in the French action film "Elyas" (Canal+), directed by Florent-Emilio Siri, alongside Roschdy Zem. Laëtitia is set to appear in Terrence Malick’s highly anticipated "The Way of the Wind," as well as alongside Aaron Eckhart in the spy thriller "Chief of Station." She also features in the independent Belgian film "The Virgin and Child" and the French series "Culte" by Louis Farge, "Pax Massilia" by Olivier Marchal on Netflix, "Vendetta" by Ange Basterga for France 2, and "La Cible" by Ivan Fégivéres.Having the rare ability to flawlessly navigate between art-house films, action-packed series, and projects from major American studios, as well as being a regular on the theater circuit, Laëtitia remarked that, "acting for me is constantly delving into the mysteries of the human soul and finding the purest way to convey emotions as a healing channel for the audience."
