Kalyan Chatterjee(1942-2025)

He has also acted in Satyajit Ray's Pratidwandi(1971) [The adversary]. He played the role of a friend of the protagonist Dhritiman Chatterjee. A bright medical student at a time and an alcoholic, womanizer and care free at other time, he played the role with sheer confidence. He also acted in several number of bengali films and short films but An actor of his stature has remained mostly unused in Bengali cinema for lack of potential roles.
