Joshua Nelson is an award winning writer, director, and producer known for his work in independent cinema. He is also the former lead singer/bass player of the heavy metal band New York's Finest Nelson's career spans multiple roles across filmmaking: he has directed, written, and produced a substantial body of work that includes feature films and shorts. His credits feature a mix of horror, thriller, and character-driven narrative projects, such as Dating Horror Stories (2024), The Things We Cannot Change (2022), Menopause (2021), Triaphilia (2021), and earlier works like Skinned Alive (2008). Before transitioning behind the camera, Joshua also worked as an actor and screenwriter, appearing in and contributing creatively to films throughout the 2000s. Over the years, he's built a reputation in the indie film community for his prolific output and hands-on approach to low-budget production, often collaborating with emerging actors and filmmakers to bring ambitious ideas to the screen
