Anna Parsons. Writer: Retrograde. Los Angeles-based New Zealand filmmaker Anna Parsons first discovered her passion for storytelling through community theater growing up in rural New Zealand. She received a Bachelor in Theater studies from the University of Otago and spent one year studying abroad at the University of California, Berkeley before relocating to Los Angeles.
