Raised in Paris, Texas, Hancock writes stories that describe fictitious beasts called Mounds and Vegans. His work takes the form of paintings, drawings, sculpture, and performance. Hancock has participated in many museum exhibitions including the 2000 and 2002 Whitney Biennials.
