Heidi Saman

Heidi Saman. Director: Queen Sugar. Heidi Saman was named one of Filmmaker Magazine's 25 New Faces to Watch. Her first feature film, Namour, was distributed by Ava DuVernay's Array, and won a Jury Prize at the Los Angeles Film Festival (2016). Saman's short film The Maid (il Shaghala) (2008), which was shot in Cairo, Egypt, premiered in competition at the Cannes Film Festival.
