Gerardo Oñate

After working in human rights as well as on radio and TV, he trained as an actor at Kennedy Brown Acting Community, Alexander Techworks and Casazul. Since then, he has participated in more than 20 short films such as: Hermes, Boulangerie de Barrio (Boulangerie From The Block), El Cráneo de Jade (The Jade Skull) and Destino Cero (Zero Destination) by Roberto Chávez, Cucarachas (Cockroaches) by Manfred Grem, and in the multi-award-winning Tekenchu by Carlos Matienzo (all of which he also co-wrote). He has appeared in different feature films such as El Poderoso Victoria (The Mighty Victoria) by Raúl Ramón, La Laguna Rosa (The Pink Lagoon) by Juan Arce and Francisco Gallo, in the VHS1985 segment God of Death by Gigi Saúl Guerrero and in Apenas Primavera (Barely Spring) by Rafael Martínez García. He is also a founding partner of Wuka Freelance Filmmakers, in which he develops projects as an actor, screenwriter, producer and director.
