Evert van Benthem

Evert van Benthem. Self: AVRO's Sportpanorama. Evert van Benthem (b. 1958) is a Dutch former speed skater who won the rarely raced Elfstedentocht twice in a row, in 1985 and 1986. The Elfstedentocht, almost 200 km in length, follows a circular route along frozen canals, rivers and lakes visiting eleven historic villages and cities across the northern province Friesland.
