Erkki Tamila. Self: Olympic Cavalcade. Long distance runner Eerik Jaakko "Erkki" Tamila was born on May 5, 1911 in Nummi, Finland. Tamila placed fourth in the men's marathon at the 1936 Olympics that were held in Berlin, Germany.
