Funayûrei (1914)

The most notorious funayurei ("ghost of the drowned") in Japanese myth was that of Taira-no-Tomomori, who drowned at the battle of Dannoura Bay, but rose up as a vengeful spectre against the hero Yoshitsune. See also entry for Hei...
