Tom Konkle is a film director, actor, screenwriter, and published author whose forty-year career spans network television, studio animation, and independent cinema in a rare triple threat equally at home behind the camera and in front of it.As an actor, Konkle has delivered unforgettable turns across an extraordinary range of projects. He brings scene-stealing menace to Star Wars: Tales of the Empire (Lucasfilm/Disney+) and earned praise for his recurring role on Bosch: Legacy (Amazon). He shared the screen with comedy legend John Cleese in The Art of Football, appeared as a series regular on NBC’s Spy TV and Sci-Fi Channel’s Scare Tactics, and racked up memorable guest performances on Community, Arrested Development, The Office, Back to You, Secret Life of the American Teenager, The Game, and Baskets (FX). He starred in and directed the feature Trouble Is My Business, one of the most acclaimed micro-budget noir films of its era.As a director and writer, Konkle brought The Longest Knife to life as a feature and wrote produced episodes of the Warner Bros. animated series Be Cool, Scooby-Doo! He was personally invited by the surviving members of Monty Python to direct and perform in Owl-Stretching Time, their landmark live showcase of never-before-seen material, a credential held by virtually no one else in the industry. His screenplays include Savage, Midnight Sun, Switch, The Red Circle, Test Drive, and Island In The Stars.His stage work spans two decades of acclaimed productions including The Real Inspector Hound, Beyond the Fringe, Nevermore: The Black Cat, Britcom, and Double Act. Konkle is the founder of Lumen Actus Productions as well as directing the feature LeapFrog, an original sci-fi comedy feature.
