Marcus Olsson(I)

Marcus Olsson is a Swedish film and television director born in Lund, Skåne. He trained at Dramatiska Institutet in Stockholm. His short film Major & minor Miracles (1999) received an Academy Award nomination. He has since directed numerous Swedish television productions, including The Marriage of Gustav III, The Fjällbacka murders, and The Sandhamn murders. In 2026, his feature film The Swedish Connection, co-directed with Thérèse Ahlbeck, premiered at the Göteborg Film Festival and was released globally on Netflix. Olsson also runs the comedy ensemble Manhattanprojektet.
