Lisa Berry is a dedicated actress with classical training and has had the honour of performing a diverse range of roles, from the immortal works of Shakespeare to the captivating narratives of Suzan-Lori Parks. Throughout her career, Lisa has enjoyed working with esteemed repertory theatre companies across North America, where she has honed her craft. Her work has been recognized with Dora Mavor Moore Award nominations, including Best Ensemble and Production, alongside a nomination for Best Lead Actress for her portrayal of Penny in Father Comes Home From the Wars.Among her notable television appearances, she has had the privilege of portraying "Billie" (also known as "Death") in the beloved sci-fi/fantasy series Supernatural. Her performances as "Cleophas Garroway" in Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments, "Nellie Bullock" in Bad Blood, and "Natashia" in Workin’ Moms have also allowed her to connect with a wider audience. Lisa’s participation in the well-received horror anthology Slasher further showcases her versatility as an actress.Lisa has been honoured with three Canadian Screen Award nominations. Two for Best Lead Performance, recognizing her work in 21 Black Futures, the short film Home, and one for Best Supporting Actress for the series Beyond Black Beauty.Most recently, Lisa appeared in a guest-starring role in the mid-season kickoff of Season Two of Doc on Hulu, Directed by Seith Mann.
