Ken Jones was born on October 2, 1927 in Manchester, England. He was a British conductor and composer who established his own orchestra and began a career in film and television. He is known for his work on films such as Tom Thumb (1958), Two Way Stretch (1960) and Dentist in The Chair (1960). Ken composed and arranged the themes for BBC and ITV sitcoms such as Sykes, Only When I Laugh, Dawson's Weekly and A Sharp Intake of Breath. He also served as musical director for Aspel & Company from 1979 to 1988 and the Paul Daniels Magic Show. He died in 1988.
