Joel Michalak. Writer: Falling Flat. Joel Michalak was born in Buffalo, New York. He attended a Visual Performing Arts, middle school and high school in Sarasota Florida, majoring in TV production. After graduating from college with a film degree, he moved to Los Angeles, California. Besides working in camera and lighting, Joel is also an experienced performer, both as a musician and as an actor.
