Jan Chapman was born on 28 March 1950 in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia. She is a producer and actress, known for The Piano (1993), Bright Star (2009) and Lantana (2001). She has been married to Stephen O'Rourke since 21 September 1985. They have one child. She was previously married to Phillip Noyce.
