Dez McCarthy was born in Belfast. He is married and lives in Belfast. He is best known as a Director working on Birds Of A Feather, Casualty, Flatmates, Legend of Dick and Dom and The Sparticle Mystery. He has one BAFTA, two Hugo TV Awards, one Chicago Film award, one Celtic Film Award, two BAFTA nominations and an Emmy nomination.
