Chris Gann

Chris Gann was raised on a goat farm in Reno, Nevada, a long way from the Hollywood sets where he would eventually build a career in front of and behind the camera.A national and world champion Jet Ski racer, Gann's competitive career eventually opened the door to television. As his racing career wound down, he was offered the opportunity to work as a sports broadcaster. His background as an athlete and his degree in Communications from California State University, Sacramento proved to be a natural combination.Gann went on to travel the world as a sports host, reporter, and commentator, working with major networks including ESPN, ESPN2, FOX Sports, and Sky TV. His broadcasting work included hosting and reporting for a variety of sports and entertainment programs, giving him years of experience working in front of the camera before making the transition to acting.After moving to Los Angeles, Gann landed an early break when director Rob Cohen cast him in the Sony Pictures blockbuster xxx, starring Vin Diesel and Samuel L. Jackson. He later worked with Diesel again in Disney's The Pacifier. Since then, Gann has built a prolific acting career with more than 120 credited roles in film and television.His acting credits include The Pitt, The Studio, Rust, Animals, S.W.A.T., The Rookie, The Old Man, Dahmer - Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, For All Mankind, Doom Patrol, Mad Men, General Hospital, and many other productions.Gann's athletic background also led naturally into the stunt world. He began working as a stuntman and eventually moved into stunt coordination, coordinating stunts on more than 50 movies and productions and more than 100 television episodes. His stunt credits include MaXXXine, Reptile, Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile, The Rookie, Supergirl, Scandal, Grimm, MacGyver, Lethal Weapon, 24, and 300: Rise of an Empire. His stunt work on Transformers: Dark of the Moon earned him a Screen Actors Guild nomination as part of the film's stunt ensemble.From a goat farm in Reno to world-class racing, international sports broadcasting, and a career spanning more than 120 acting credits, Gann has certainly taken a long and unexpected road through the entertainment business. He probably never imagined that racing Jet Skis would lead to all of this.
