Alies Sluiter. Director: Ayaan. Writer, director and composer. Known for Ayaan, I Am Elizabeth Smart and Zero Degrees. Recipient of the 2020 Australian Directors Guild, Best Student Director Award, the 2019, Adrienne Shelly Best Female Director Award and collaborates across the mediums of film, theatre and music with artists including Akram Khan, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Sylvie Guillem and Nitin Sawhney.
